Encounter in Srinagar, was Pahalgam’s main terrorist TRF commander Musa killed
Srinagar. There is information of an encounter between security forces and terrorists in Srinagar during Amarnath Yatra 2025. Army personnel have launched ‘Operation Mahadev’ to kill the terrorists.
The army has killed three terrorists in this operation. The security forces have sealed the entire area and a large-scale search operation is being carried out. The killed terrorists are being identified. It is feared that Pahalgam’s main terrorist TRF commander Musa has been killed in this operation, however, the identification is going on. The army will soon inform the media.
According to the army, an encounter started between terrorists and security forces in Lidwas area of Harwan in Srinagar on Monday. In a post made by the Chinar Corps of the Indian Army on the X handle, it has been informed that the encounter has started in the Lidwas area and the operation is still going on.
Meanwhile, officials said that a joint team of police, army and CRPF has launched a cordon and search operation in the forest area of Mulnar near Mahadev. As soon as the security forces approached the suspected spot, the hiding terrorists opened fire, following which the security forces also retaliated.
Senior officers of the Army and Jammu and Kashmir Police have reached the spot to monitor the ongoing operation. Initial information suggests that a group of terrorists belonging to the banned Lashkar-e-Taiba (LeT) outfit is trapped in the area. The operation is underway and further information is awaited.
