New Delhi. The upcoming Lok Sabha elections 2024 are going to be held in a total of seven phases. Today, in the fourth phase, voting on 96 seats of 10 states and union territories concluded with sporadic incidents. In this phase, 1,717 candidates were trying their luck in the electoral fray. These include five Union ministers, a former chief minister, two cricketers and an actor. At the time of writing the news, a total of 62.31 percent voting took place till 5 pm.
In the fourth phase, voting is going on in all 25 seats of Andhra Pradesh. Voting took place in 13 seats of Uttar Pradesh. Similarly, voting is going on in 17 seats of Telangana, 11 seats of Maharashtra, 8 seats of MP, 8 seats of West Bengal, 5 seats of Bihar, 4 seats each of Jharkhand and Odisha and 1 seat of Jammu and Kashmir.
In the fourth phase, Bengal saw the highest voting. On the other hand, the pace was slow in UP and Bihar.
