ED raids Tiwari ji’s hand, SP appeals to President
Gorakhpur. The ED raid on the Gorakhpur residence (Tiwari ji’s house) of former minister and mafia leader late Harishankar Tiwari took place on Friday, in protest against which the officials of Samajwadi Party Gorakhpur submitted a memorandum addressed to the President to the district administration.
Samajwadi leaders said in the memorandum that the ED raid at the residence of SP National Secretary Vinay Shankar Tiwari is being conducted for political reasons. The former MLA is a leader with a strong hold in his society in Purvanchal. The BJP government is bent on harassing and pressurizing its political opponents by any means possible. Which is not justified. ED raided again today to defame him as part of a political conspiracy. ED raid has been conducted at the residence of late Pt. Harishankar Tiwari, a prominent leader of Purvanchal, who was a minister in the state government several times.
Vinay Shankar Tiwari has a good hold in Purvanchal. Ever since he and his family joined SP, he is being harassed to put pressure on the family. Ed. The central and state governments are bent upon defaming the Tiwari family by conducting raids.
The residence of a senior SP leader has been raided in view of the impending Lok Sabha elections. That family has a good hold on the nearby seats in the Lok Sabha elections. At the time of Lok Sabha elections, raids are being conducted with the intention of tightening the noose on this family and defaming it.
This action is tantamount to murder of the democratic process. In such a situation, the SP delegation demands from Madam President to take necessary steps to stop such action.
