Kolkata. Former MP, BJP leader Arjun Singh has been fatally attacked in West Bengal. The BJP leader’s residence in Barrackpore, Jagdal was attacked with country-made bombs on Friday morning. Several rounds of firing were also done. A CISF jawan deployed for his security was injured in this attack.
Arjun Singh also injured in the attack – Arjun Singh said that he has got a shrapnel in his leg. He narrowly escaped the attack. This incident of bomb throwing and firing took place outside his house in ‘Majdoor Bhavan’ in Jagdal amid tight security arrangements. Politics has heated up over this. Arjun Singh has blamed the ruling Trinamool Congress for this attack.
Conspiracy to kill me – Arjun Singh said that these attacks were carried out with the aim of killing him. He claimed that about 15 bombs were thrown and more than a dozen rounds were fired. When he came out of his house after hearing the sound of the explosion, suddenly a pellet hit his leg. He claimed that a CISF jawan was also injured in the leg.
Police remained a mute spectator- The BJP leader has posted on X regarding the attack. He wrote that this morning when everyone was busy in Navratri Puja, many jihadis and goons attacked my office and office ‘Majdoor Bhawan’ under the protection of Namit Singh, an accused in NIA cases and son of a local TMC councilor, and under the supervision of the local police.
Attack happened earlier too- Let us tell you that this is not the first time that Arjun Singh’s house has been attacked by throwing a country-made bomb in this way. Such an incident has come to the fore earlier as well. In 2021, three country-made bombs were thrown at his house in a similar way.
