‘Everything is not fine with China’ – Foreign Minister

Jaishankar gave a piece of his mind to the Dragon in the US, also gave an advice

Foreign Minister Jaishankar again took the Dragon to task over the India-China border standoff

If 75 percent of the dispute has been resolved, it was only about the withdrawal of troops

ANI, New York. Foreign Minister S Jaishankar has once again given a piece of his mind to China. Speaking at an event in the US, he acknowledged India’s ‘difficult history’ with China and said that when I said that 75 percent of the border dispute between the two countries has been resolved, it was only about the ‘withdrawal of troops’ part. The Foreign Minister said that challenges still remain in other aspects.

China’s cunningness during Corona worsened relations – At the Asia Society Policy Institute, Jaishankar said that our history with China has been full of difficulties. The Foreign Minister said that despite our clear agreements with China, we saw in the midst of Covid that China violated these agreements and deployed a large number of troops on the Line of Actual Control (LAC). It was possible that an accident would happen and it did happen. Therefore, a clash took place and many soldiers were killed on both sides.

Gave this advice to the Dragon – Jaishankar admitted that most of the conflict points have been resolved, but challenges still remain. He said that there is still a conflict especially with regard to the rights of patrolling the border. Further advising, he said that if relations with China are to be improved, then both the countries will have to understand the importance of ‘de-escalation’.
